Cluren Design Philosophy – Two Principles We Never Compromise On

When I designed Cluren's products, I asked myself one simple question:

"What would I actually want to use every day?"

The answer came down to three things:

  1. It has to work reliably – every single time, no exceptions

  2. It has to be easy to clean and store – because nobody has time for complicated maintenance

  3. It has to feel good to use – comfortable, sturdy, and well-balanced

To deliver on these three things, I follow two principles that I never compromise on.

Principle 1: Form Follows Function

I don't believe in flashy designs that look pretty but don't actually work well.

Every Cluren tool is designed to do its job exceptionally well—and look good while doing it, without being overcomplicated.

That means:

  • No gimmicks

  • No unnecessary parts

  • No design that sacrifices usability for aesthetics

If it doesn't make cooking easier, we don't make it.

Principle 2: Simple Materials, Better Performance

I use stainless steel and BPA-free, food-grade plastic for a reason.

These materials are:

  • Durable – they don't break, bend, or rust

  • Hygienic – they don't absorb odors or harbor bacteria

  • Easy to clean – most are dishwasher-safe

  • Safe – no harmful chemicals leaching into your food

When you use quality materials, everything else falls into place. You get tools that last, that perform, and that you actually enjoy using.

The Result

Cluren tools aren't the flashiest on the market. But they are reliable, thoughtfully designed, and built to last.

And if you ask me—that's what actually matters in a kitchen tool.
